📈 STOCK UP
🔼 It Was in the Cards. UTSA Athletics officials have announced that the football program will host the UIW Cardinals on Sept. 13, 2025, at the Alamodome.
This will mark the second time the Roadrunners and Cardinals will meet on the gridiron. UTSA registered a 35-7 victory in the previous meeting with UIW on Aug. 31, 2019, at the Alamodome.
With Friday’s announcement, UTSA now has all four non-conference games scheduled for 2025. The Roadrunners will host Texas State on Sept. 6, 2025, after opening the campaign at Texas A&M on Aug. 30 in College Station, giving the Roadrunners three in-state opponents for next year’s non-league slate. UTSA also will travel to Fort Collins to face Colorado State on Sept. 20 in the first game of a home-and-home series with the Rams in 2025 and 2026.

Q: How does your department service UTSA student-athletes?
Kyle Stephens: “Our department is responsible for the publicity of UTSA student-athletes and sports programs to the media, broadcasters, and other external entities. There are a variety of ways to do this, but in general, this is accomplished through communication channels such as press releases, game notes, the official UTSA Athletics website, social media, and story pitches to media outlets…”
