🔼 What Did Coach Fox Say? In the final competition for the UTSA Track & Field team at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, junior Jemuel Miller collected the Roadrunners’ third Second Team All-American honor of the meet in Friday’s triple jump at historic Hayward Field. brings to a close another successful season for the Roadrunners, the 16th season under the guidance of director of track & field and cross country Aaron Fox, and UTSA’s inaugural season in the American Athletic Conference.

🔼 All About Abonce. Get to know UTSA women’s golf student-athlete Daniela Abonce, the 2024 American Athletic Conference individual champion, in this Q&A. 

Q: Why did you choose UTSA? 

Daniela Abonce: “I chose UTSA because of the incredible facilities like our athletic center, RACE, and our home course, TPC San Antonio. The coaches here create an excellent atmosphere and make me feel comfortable, welcomed and supported at all times.”
 
Q: What are you majoring in and what do you hope to do following your athletic career? 

Daniela Abonce: "Following my athletic career, I hope to utilize my education and experience to work in the business side of the golf industry or perhaps even start my own business."

🔼 Paris is Always a Good Idea. UTSA Director of Track & Field Aaron Fox has announced the program has signed Lisa Pelletier. The middle-distance runner from Paris will join the Roadrunners beginning with the 2024-25 season.  

Pelletier has competed for Lille Metropole Athletisme since 2021. She earned third place in the 800-meter at the 2023 French U23 Championships with a 2:08.16 in Fontainebleau, France, following up a third-place finish at the French U23 Indoor Championships (2:10.33) in February 2023. Pelletier helped her team win the 2022 French Clubs Championships with a second-place 57.94 clocking in the 400-meter, while she sliced nearly a second to record a 57.02 in the event in 2023.
