🔼 Sunshine Seekers. The UTSA women’s tennis team heads to the Sunshine State for a pair of matches this weekend. The Roadrunners play Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton at 9 AM CST today before facing FIU in Miami at 9 AM CST on Sunday.

The Roadrunners hold a 9-5 record after dropping two road matches last weekend against UT Arlington and Tarleton. Freshman Ekua Youri leads the team with a 9-3 record in singles play. The team holds a combined 24-11 doubles record and a 41-24 singles record.

🔼 Tennis in the 2-1-0. Pending any adjustments for weather, UTSA men’s tennis (7-7) is scheduled to host Pacific (8-1) today at 11 AM CST and Georgia State (5-9) on Sunday at 11 AM CST at the UTSA Tennis Center. The Roadrunners are three matches deep into a nine-match homestand and have handed down sweeps in each outing so far.

The Roadrunners have been flat-out dominant since opening the home slate this month, following the 11-match road swing that kicked off the season. UTSA has downed Utah State (7-0), UT Arlington (4-0), and Kennesaw State (7-0) in succession over the past two weeks and hasn’t allowed a point at home this season.

🔼 Weather or Not? The UTSA softball team will welcome North Texas into Roadrunner Field for a three-game American Athletic Conference series. Due to severe weather, the schedule has been updated to a doubleheader today at 4 PM CST before a 1 PM St. Patrick’s Day Celebration on Sunday.

Fans can receive a limited-edition UTSA “Double Feature” T-shirt upon entry at Roadrunner Field as part of the festivities Friday and while supplies last. On Sunday, spectators can partake in a series of giveaways, including UTSA apparel and SeaWorld passes.

🔼 Heartbreak on the Hardwood. The inaugural UTSA men’s basketball (11-21) appearance in the AAC Championships didn’t go as planned in the third meeting with Temple (13-19) over the past 25 days. However, despite offensive setbacks in the first half, the Roadrunners never stopped fighting for their debut tournament victory and fell just three points short of the comeback in Wednesday’s tournament loss to Owls at Dickies Arena, 64-61.

With the loss, the Roadrunners are eliminated from the AAC Championships, bringing a close to the 2023-24 season with an 11-21 final record.
