UTSA Soccer moves Sunday game against St. Mary's due to excessive heat warnings

Good morning, Roadrunners Fam. UTSA Soccer is moving its Sunday, Aug. 25, game against St. Mary's (TX) to 7 p.m. for the safety of our student-athletes, staff, officials, and fans. The original 1 p.m. game time remains under excessive heat warnings that prompted the change. The game will still be broadcast on ESPN+ live from the Park West Athletics Complex.

🔼 Fab Five Bowl News. UTSA seniors Kendrick Blackshire, Oscar Cardenas, De’Corian “JT” Clark, Joe Evans and Donyai Taylor have landed on the Reese’s Senior Bowl Watch List, which was unveiled on Wednesday morning.
This marks the second postseason all-star game watch list selection for Cardenas, Clark and Evans, as all three were chosen in July for the Shrine Bowl 1000 by the East-West Shrine Bowl.

🔼 As DJ Khaled Says: “Another One.” UTSA’s Kevorian Barnes, Oscar Cardenas, and Devin McCuin have been selected for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award watch list, SPORTyler announced on Wednesday.
The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award recognizes the top offensive player in Division I football who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community, and tenacity; specifically, tenacity to persist and determination to overcome adversity and injury in pursuit of reaching goals. In addition, the nominee must meet one or more of the following criteria: played football at and graduated from a Texas high school and/or currently playing at a Texas NCAA Division I four-year college.
The semifinalists will be selected by broadcasters, commentators, journalists, fans, and previous winners.

🔼 Welcome, Cowboys. Cowboys Air Conditioning and Heating have entered into a multi-year agreement with UTSA Athletics.
Elements of the agreement include becoming the “Official HVAC Partner of UTSA Athletics,” the Roadrunners’ first exclusive partner in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning category. Additionally, Cowboys will implement unique promotions at UTSA Athletics events this season to keep student-athletes and fans cool in the Texas heat.
“We are ecstatic to welcome Cowboys Air Conditioning and Heating as our first exclusive HVAC partner,” UTSA Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Lisa Campos said. “Like UTSA Athletics, Cowboys is dedicated to San Antonio and its residents.”
