🔼 So much LOVE For LOVB…and Adams. For the first time in over 10 years, UTSA Athletics Hall of Famer McKenzie Adams will be playing stateside as League One Volleyball’s (LOVB) Atlanta-based club officially announced that she’d be joining the squad after she initially signed with the league back in March.
LOVB is a recently launched professional league that begins its inaugural season in January of 2025. Additionally, fans can watch Adams compete on ESPN and ESPN+, as the league has signed a multiyear media rights agreement with the company.
An inaugural UTSA Hall of Fame class member, Adams was one of the ‘Runners best, picking up two AVCA All-American awards and two conference players of the year honors between the 2011-13 volleyball seasons.

🔼 Da Real MVP. As a junior, Gabe Binion swept the horizontal jumps championships at the 2024 American Conference Indoor Championships and was named men's Co-Most Valuable Performer.

🔼 The Road Map For Roadrunners. UTSA Athletics mourns the loss of one of its earliest and longest supporters, Betty Sutherland, who passed away at her home on June 23 at the age of 93. Sutherland was memorialized Thursday morning at the First Baptist Church of San Antonio.
Sutherland and her husband, Dr. Berry Sutherland, one of the first professors hired at UTSA in 1976, helped start the basketball program. Following Berry’s death, Betty created the Berry Sutherland Endowed Scholarship in Athletics. Sutherland was a long-time season-ticket holder for UTSA Athletics.
