šŸ”¼ Double Double, Toil and Troubleā€¦for the Owls. Redshirt junior Elyssa Coleman recorded her second double-double in as many games on Wednesday, this time scoring 16 points at a 73% clip to go with 10 rebounds in a 73-60 American Athletic Conference win over Florida Atlantic inside Baldwin Arena

The Roadrunners (8-7, 2-2 AAC) bested the Owls (5-10, 0-4 AAC), as Coleman led the contest in rebounds, helping UTSA haul in five more boards than their opponents. The 'Runners also shot 46% from the field to FAU's 36%, swatted five more blocks, and swiped three more steals.

Freshman Aysia Proctor provided the bulk of the UTSA offense, scoring 17 points, with senior Kyra White logging 12 and sophomore Maya Linton 10. White delivered an all-around solid performance, dishing out five assists and recording four steals.

Just behind Coleman, freshman Idara Udo was second on the team with seven rebounds, and sophomore Sidney Love tied her for the second-most assists, each charting four.

The Roadrunners will return to the Convocation Center in San Antonio, hosting Charlotte in a 2 PM CST ā€œBlue Outā€ matchup on Sunday before another home game against South Florida at 6:30 PM CST on Tuesday.

šŸ”¼ The Ivy League. The UTSA menā€™s basketball team (7-9, 1-2 AAC) was so close to upsetting the 13th-ranked Memphis (14-2, 3-0 AAC) that both the Roadrunners and every Tigers fan in the FedEx Forum could positively taste it. The Roadrunners led for nearly 20 minutes of regulation, but the Tigers cleared a four-point UTSA lead in the final 67 seconds to force the second consecutive overtime for the Roadrunners. Memphis maintained the early edge in the extra period and held on for the 107-101 win on Wednesday night.

Leading all scorers on the night and six from UTSA in double-figures, Jordan Ivy-Curry racked up a career-high 28 points, in addition to nine rebounds and five assists. His six from long-range was also a career-best, pacing a 17-shot effort by UTSA beyond the arc ā€“ with contributions from seven different players.

Christian Tucker added 14 points and dished out a team-high seven assists, while Chandler Cuthrell collected a career-best 13 points, including three from distance. In addition, Trey Edmonds, Carlton Linguard Jr., and PJ Carter each scored 10 apiece.

The Roadrunners head back home to the Convocation Center for the second nationally televised game of the year, hosting Charlotte on ESPNU at 7 PM CST on Jan. 13. Fans will be able to have their photos taken with UTSA Footballā€™s Frisco Bowl Trophy at the game!

The following week will see UTSA travel to Tulsa (Jan. 17) and then host conference preseason favorite Florida Atlantic (Jan. 21) at the Convo.
