📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Root, root, root for the home team 🎶. The UTSA baseball team has officially released its 54-game 2024 schedule, consisting of 30 home games at Roadrunner Field.

The Roadrunners open their season with five consecutive games at home, hosting UT-Arlington for a four-game opening weekend series on Feb. 16-18 and Tarleton on Feb. 20. UTSA then hits the road for the Sugar Land Classic, played at the Sugar Land Space Cowboys’ Constellation Field, on Feb. 23-25. The Roadrunners open the tournament against SFA on the 23rd before facing Creighton on the 24th and Lamar on the 25th . UTSA closes out the month on the road, facing Big-12 opponent Houston on Feb. 27.

Read the full article for more spring dates, their eight consecutive home game stretch that starts in April, and the details on the American Athletic Conference Tournament in Clearwater, Florida.

🔼 Double, Double, But Still A Bit Of Trouble. Despite freshman Aysia Proctor's first career double-double, the UTSA women's basketball team suffered a 61-48 defeat at the hands of Oregon in non-conference action at Matthew Knight Arena on Sunday.

The Roadrunners (5-5, 0-0 AAC) fell to the Ducks (8-3, 0-0 Pac-12), as Proctor logged a career-high 20 points to go with 11 rebounds. Her performance represents UTSA's second double-double of the season as sophomore Maya Linton last accomplished the feat on Nov. 18, 2023, in a win over UT Arlington.

Also posting a career-best, nobody in the arena hauled in as many rebounds as redshirt junior Elyssa Coleman, whose 13 boards represent the most of any Roadrunner since senior Jordyn Jenkins pulled down 16 against Middle Tennessee on Jan. 4, 2023. Additionally, sophomore Cheyenne Rowe used an eight-point performance to work a season-high of her own.

As a team, the Roadrunners snagged 21 more rebounds than the Ducks, scored six more points in the paint, and were more efficient at the charity stripe, converting 86% of their free throws.

The 'Runners will remain in the Pacific Northwest, next meeting Seattle U in The Emerald City on Tuesday with a 2 PM CST tipoff inside the Redhawk Center.

🔼 Beaver Dam. A balanced scoring effort led by newly available guard Jordan Ivy-Curry and a career outing for forward Massal Diouf was not enough for UTSA men’s basketball (5-6) to earn the victory in perhaps its final game against a contemporary Pac-12 Conference team on Sunday at Gill Coliseum, as the Roadrunners fell 66-65 to Oregon State (7-3).

Ivy-Curry finished with 11 points on 5-for-11 from the field and had seven assists as UTSA finished the day shooting 43.3 percent from the field. Diouf finished with a career-high 10 points on 5-for-6 from the field, coupled with a career-best eight rebounds and four blocks, three of which came in the first half. Senior center Carlton Linguard Jr. also had 10 points despite sitting most of the first half due to foul trouble.

Coming off the two-game road trip, the Roadrunners return to the Convo with two more games before closing out 2023, hosting Army West Point on Dec. 17 for Military Appreciation Night and Hoops for the Holidays, ahead of Prairie View A&M on Thursday, Dec. 28.
