UTSA men's golfer Hunter Bott has earned a berth to play in the NCAA Austin Regional

Good morning, Roadrunners Fam. UTSA senior Hunter Bott has earned a berth to play in the NCAA Austin Regional from May 13-15 at the University of Texas Golf Club. Bott is one of 10 individuals who will join players from 13 teams at the regional. The senior from Montgomery, Texas, is seeded third.
Bott, who was named to the All-American Athletic Conference Team earlier this week, paces the Roadrunners with a 71.91 stroke average through 32 rounds this season. A native of Montgomery, Texas, he owns four top-10 finishes and has placed inside the top 25 in nine tournaments.

🔼 Rummans, the Ultimate ‘Runner. Orlando L. Rummans ‘95, a retired U.S. Army major, has been supporting his alma mater for nearly 30 years. He is strongly dedicated to the success of Roadrunners and has made significant contributions to UTSA’s Roadrunner Athletics Fund and Bold Champions campaign. He also provides an annual scholarship to student-athletes through the Alumni Association.

🔼 May the Fourth Be With You. The UTSA baseball team is hosting the Wichita State Shockers in a three-game series in American Athletic Conference play this weekend at Roadrunner Field. The series opens tonight at 6 PM CST. Game two is on Saturday at 2 PM. The series concludes at 1 PM on Sunday.
Saturday’s game will be May The Fourth/Star Wars-themed, during which fans can pick up special Star Wars-themed posters and participate in Star Wars trivia. Sunday’s game is Family Day, where fans can collect five trading cards and get them signed after the game.
🔼 It Is Your Destiny. The UTSA softball team will conclude its regular season this weekend as it hosts South Florida for a three-game, theme-filled American Athletic Contest series at Roadrunner Field, which will run from Friday through Sunday.
Game one between the Roadrunners (14-39, 4-20 The American) and the Bulls (32-20, 11-13 The American) will begin tonight at 6 PM CST for Taylor Swift Night. Saturday’s 1 PM game is a Star Wars-themed Senior Day celebration. The teams will meet again on Sunday, with a noon first pitch as the squads honor the life and legacy of Hope Ortiz with their annual Strike Out Cancer contest.
🔼 Advantage Gutierrez. Sophomore Fatima Gutierrez of the UTSA women’s tennis team has earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference All-Conference Team. This marks Gutierrez’s first all-conference accolade since she joined the Roadrunners as a true freshman in the fall of 2022. In two seasons, she has collected 20 singles wins and 23 doubles wins.
🔼 It’s in the Bag. UTSA softball coach Vann Stuedeman has announced the signings of Katia Reyes and Madison Hornback, following standout careers at a McLennan Community College program that's spent the past nine weeks atop the NJCAA national rankings.
Reyes has been a top performer for the Highlanders, propelling the squad to a 2023 Conference Championship while collecting first-team all-region and all-conference accolades as a pitcher. A 2023 TJCAC first-team all-conference pick, NJCAA all-region selection, and an NFCA NJCAA Division I West second-team all-region honoree, Hornback helped the No. 1 Highlanders to an incredible 54-2 record, recording 29 RBIs, scoring 44 runs, and swiping 19 bags.
