🔼 Owl Be Seeing You. League officials announced on Tuesday that UTSA’s home American Athletic Conference game against the Temple Owls has been selected for Friday, Nov. 22. A kickoff time and broadcast network will be announced at a later date.

That conference matchup between the Roadrunners and Owls is one of six regular season home games on the docket for UTSA’s 14th season of football and second year as a member of The American this fall.

🔼 Tis Better to Give. On top of the deadline for renewing season football tickets, today is also the last day to partake in UTSA Athletics Giving Day. Dr. Lisa Campos talks about the importance of supporting UTSA student-athletes.

🔼 Home Court. The UTSA women’s tennis team closes out its regular season at home, hosting the Lamar Cardinals today at 12 p.m. Prior to the match, the Roadrunners will recognize four student-athletes for Senior Day.

The Roadrunners hold a 15-6 record after picking up a pair of home wins last weekend against UTEP (4-1) on April 6 and New Mexico State (5-2) on April 7. UTSA is on a five-match winning streak and remains undefeated at home with an 8-0 record. Freshman Ekua Youri leads the team in singles action with 12 wins so far, while Aleksandra Zlatarova is closely behind with 11, and Fatima Gutierrez has collected 10 victories. Zlatarova and Cassie McLay have teamed up to put together an impressive 12-1 doubles record. The team holds a combined 36-14 doubles record and a 61-35 singles record.

🔼 Agg-ravating Tuesday, Indeed. The UTSA baseball team was walked off by No. 3 Texas A&M, 6-5, in a heartbreaker on Tuesday night at Blue Bell Park in College Station, Texas.

Alexander Olivo led the team with a 2-for-3 day at the plate with two RBI, a walk, and a hit-by-pitch. Starting pitcher Fischer Kingsbery kept the Aggies scoreless through the first two frames while striking out three batters.

🔼 A Bear of An Ending. The UTSA softball team suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat at the hands of No. 24 Baylor in non-conference action on Tuesday despite stellar performances from senior Jamie Gilbert and junior Jaylen Prichard. The Roadrunners (12-30, 3-12 The American) dropped the heartbreaker to the Bears (22-14, 5-10 Big 12), with Gilbert (5-12) getting tagged with the loss after tossing a complete game and allowing just one earned run.

UTSA will now turn its attention toward Charlotte, with a three-game American Athletic Conference series beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday at Roadrunner Field.

🔼 Lights, Camryn, Action. Camryn Carreon registered her ninth top-20 finish of the season to help lead the UTSA women’s golf team to 10th place at the Chattanooga Classic, which concluded Tuesday. Carreon tied for 13th with a 4-over-par 217, while the Roadrunners recorded an 889 (297-288-304) to end up in sole possession of 10th, five shots ahead of Xavier and two behind host Chattanooga in the 16-team field.

The Roadrunners will return to action on April 15-17 when they travel to Brooksville, Florida, for the American Athletic Conference Championship.
