Good morning, Roadrunners Fam. UTSA Athletics has announced an exciting opportunity for kids to showcase their creativity and love for football. Children across San Antonio are invited to participate in designing next season’s football tickets to represent various hometown heroes.

“We believe that involving our youngest fans in the design process adds a unique and special touch to our football season,” said Dr. Brad Smith, UTSA Deputy Athletics Director for External Affairs.

🔼 Highway to Heaven. A grand slam by junior Mason Lytle highlighted UTSA’s 11-9 victory over Texas State in a Battle of I-35 rematch on Tuesday night at Roadrunner Field in San Antonio. UTSA improved to a 25-18 overall record

Matt King led the team with a 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and a home run. Braylon Owens (4-1) earned his fourth win, striking out two in 2.2 innings pitched. Fischer Kingsbery closed out the game, recording his fifth save of the season—his second straight save after he earned a save in the series finale at Rice this past Sunday. Kingsbery kept the Bobcats scoreless in the final 1.1 innings.

🔼 You Keeping Track? The UTSA track and field teams swept the field event conference weekly awards for the third time in the 2023-24 season and second in the outdoor season. Jemuel Miller and Ida Breigan were named American Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week for their respective performances at the Texas Invitational this past weekend in Austin.

🔼 The Saints Go Kicking In. UTSA DL Trumane Bell II has been invited to the New Orleans Saints Rookie Mini Camp. In recognition, please enjoy this series of high kicks, Bell’s signature celebratory move.

🔼 Full Speed Ahead 💨. The final tune-up for UTSA Track & Field is complete before the AAC Outdoor Championships (May 10-12) and NCAA West Preliminary Round (May 22-25).
