Good morning, Roadrunners Fam. The state capital is the scene this weekend for UTSA football, as the Roadrunners head to Darrel K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium to take on No. 3 Texas tomorrow at 6 p.m. on ESPN!

🔼 Now We’ve Got Bad Blood.  It’s Taylor Swift Night at UTSA volleyball’s Roadrunner Classic! The Roadrunners have a double dip today, playing Central Arkansas at 10 a.m. and again later tonight against Alabama at 7 p.m.

The weekend trifecta will round out with a matchup tomorrow against Sam Houston at 2 p.m. during Daddy Daughter Day at the Convocation Center.

🔼 Be There! Roadrunner fans, you won’t want to miss this one — UTSA football’s game against Houston Christian on Sept. 21 will serve not only as the annual Hispanic Heritage Game, but will also be a Salute To First Responders!

🔼 Runners, On Your Mark. The Roadrunners Cross Country Runners compete for the first time this weekend in familiar territory, running at the UIW Invitational at Windcrest Golf Club.

The men’s 8K race will go off at 8 a.m., with the women’s 5K to follow at 8:40 a.m. on a mostly flat course that could produce some fast times!

🔼 Tied ‘Til Late. UTSA soccer saw its two-match winning streak snapped on Thursday, falling 2-1 to UAB in its AAC opener at Park West Athletic Complex.

Addy Johnson scored the first goal of the game for the Roadrunners, a shot that found the bottom right corner of the net in the 49th minute. However, two unanswered goals from the Blazers, the second coming in the 85th minute, were the difference.
