🔼 Saving the Best For First. UTSA junior goalkeeper Jasmine Kessler registered her third clean sheet of the season in Sunday’s scoreless draw at Colorado College. That performance marked her 13th career shutout, moving her to the top of the UTSA leaderboard for the stat in the records. Kessler also secured the most career goalkeeper ties in school history on Sunday.
Tying Dacia Webb (2009-11) and Jil Schneider (2019-22) at 12 via the Lamar win on Aug. 24 at Park West, Kessler notched five saves against Colorado College to collect the clean sheet. Registering her eighth career draw, Kessler moved ahead of Schneider for ties on the result.

🔼 Miles is in For the Long Haul. Basketball has been a part of head UTSA WBB coach Cameron Miles’ life since the moment he was born.
Miles’ parents had a great passion for the sport, his brother CJ played 16 seasons in the National Basketball Association and his sisters also played, including Andrea, who competed collegiately at Rogers State University. It wasn’t that they were forced into playing basketball; Miles and his siblings developed their passion for the sport organically.
As central as it was to his life, Miles never saw himself coaching basketball.
So, when did that change?
“When I was coaching,” Miles said with a laugh. “I always thought I was going to be playing, and it would be hard to be a coach when I’m playing. When I first got an opportunity, I said no. But I fell in love with it.”
Miles began his collegiate coaching career in 2016 and was a member of head coach Karen Aston’s first staff at UTSA in 2021-22.
