Good morning, Roadrunners Fam. For the first time since joining the American Athletic Conference, UTSA Soccer secured both top offensive and defensive weekly awards. Officials from the conference office announced that Tyler Coker has been named AAC Offensive Player of the Week, and Sasjah Dade is the AAC Defensive Player of the Week.

This Roadrunners pair brings UTSA to four weekly awards this season, joining Olivia Alvarez (Offensive POTW, Aug. 19) and Addy Johnson (Freshman of the Week, Sept. 9). It is the first honor for Coker and the second time Dade has received a weekly conference honor.

🔼 QB Club. The San Antonio Quarterback Club is coming to UTSA’s Park West Athletics Complex for its Wednesday, Oct. 2 meeting featuring Athletics Director Lisa Campos and Head Football Coach Jeff Traylor.

During its regular Wednesday meetings at The Barn Door, the SAQB Club opens meetings with a football update from an assistant coach followed by a featured speaker. Once each year, Coach Traylor addresses the group as its primary speaker. Lisa Campos will open the luncheon at 11:30 a.m. with an update on the UTSA Athletics program. The Voice of the Roadrunners, Andy Everett, will then interview Coach Traylor.

UTSA season ticket holders and donors are invited to attend the SAQB Club meeting at Park West. Interested attendees may register and pay online here or at the door with cash or a credit card. No RSVP is necessary.

🔼 Lucky 13. Led by a 1-under-par scorecard from Jack Wehman, the UTSA men’s golf team wrapped up play in the Valero Texas Collegiate on Monday at TPC San Antonio Oaks (par 72/7,100 yards).

Wehman fired a 71 to help the Roadrunners register their second 296 of the event and move into a tie for 13th place with East Tennessee State — one of 10 squads in the top 30 of Golfweek’s preseason rankings in the field. UTSA posted an 891 (296-299-296) and ended up 11 shots ahead of North Florida in the event won by Oklahoma.
