🔼 Tipoff In Tampa. UTSA men’s and women’s basketball will send six representatives to the 2026 American Tipoff on Oct. 11-12 at the JW Marriott Tampa. Austin Claunch, Dorian Hayes, and Isaiah Watts head there for the men, with Karen Aston, Idara Udo, and Adriana Robles representing the women. The conference's signature preseason event brings together all 26 head coaches and 52 student-athletes for two days of media interviews and content creation, capped by a live ESPN+ broadcast starting Monday at 7 a.m. CT. Season tickets are on sale now through the UTSA Ticket Office.

🔼 Sweeping The Awards. UTSA cross country took both American Conference weekly honors after a big showing at the UIW Invitational. Meryeme Mai won Women's Athlete of the Week after taking the 5k outright in 17:12 in her Roadrunner debut, the program's first meet winner since 2017. Andruw Villa claimed Men's Athlete of the Week with a runner-up finish in the 8k at 25:09, his second silver in as many races. It's the first time UTSA has swept both divisions in 17 years.

🔼 League Opener Locked In. UTSA's American Conference opener at Rice on Saturday, Oct. 3 will kick at 6 p.m. in Houston on ESPN+. Before that, the Roadrunners wrap up nonconference play this Saturday against Colorado State at 11 a.m. at the Alamodome on ESPNU, with tickets available at goUTSA.com/tickets.

🔼 Streak Continues. UTSA volleyball is on an eight-game winning streak! Enjoy this look back at their two-win weekend in Houston.

🔼 Weather Can't Stop Him. Lightning cut the Rod Myers Invitational down to 36 holes, but Sam Acharya made the most of what he got, firing a 4-under 68 in the second round to tie for sixth for UTSA men’s golf. The sophomore from Nepal finished at 5-under 139 for his second career top-10 finish and first sub-70 round as a Roadrunner, closing with birdies on three straight holes. UTSA climbed two spots to tie for 10th as a team, improving by nine shots from round one to round two.

🔼 Homecoming In Ontario. Kayla Black got to play near her hometown of Mississauga this week, and she led UTSA women's golf with a tie for 44th at the Canadian Collegiate Invitational. Black moved up two spots on the final day with a 77 built on three birdies, helping the Roadrunners to 10th in the team standings at Beacon Hall Golf Club. Lauren Rios wasn't far behind in 48th, saving her best round for last with a 76 that paced the team. The course played tough all week, yielding a 77.75 scoring average.

🔼 Fall Ball. Enjoy some of the sights from the Roadrunners back on the field as UTSA softball’s fall exhibition slate gets underway on Oct. 3!

🔼 Back To It. We love seeing UTSA women’s hoops back on the court!

🔼 Rained Out. UTSA women's tennis opened the fall across town at St. Mary's, sending four Roadrunners into their singles flight finals before inclement weather ended the event early. Celine Absawi, Giuliana Giardina, Laia Tarazona Peyro, and Akari Tomoyose all punched their tickets, with Flight B set for an all-UTSA championship match. Tomoyose and Aoka Nagasawa also reached the gold flight doubles final. UTSA heads to Houston next for the Rice Fall Invitational, Sept. 25-27.
