🔼 Home Court. UTSA volleyball opens its home slate tomorrow with a free-admission Education Day match against UIW, with first serve set for 11 a.m. at the Convocation Center. Several hundred students from around San Antonio and the greater Hill Country region are expected, and each will be greeted with a workbook, crayons, and other Roadrunner merchandise. The Spirit of San Antonio, the NCA D1A Champion UTSA Cheer squad, and Rowdy will all be on hand for the celebration. Parking is free in Brackenridge Avenue Lot 1.
🔼 Season-Opening Silver. UTSA cross country opened its 2026 season at the Sam Musgrave UIW Twilight, where junior Andruw Villa turned in a runner-up finish in the men's 6k in his Roadrunner debut. Villa crossed in 18:17.47 to lead the men to a third-place team finish with 63 points and a 19:10 average. Sophomore David Zuniga was next in at 12th, followed by freshman Zac Mangum in 14th. On the women's side, freshman Cadence Harris paced the field in 19th at 15:01.60 as the Roadrunners took fourth with 131 points.
🔼 Hall Of Fame Weekend. Tickets are on sale for the 2026 UTSA Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, set for Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. at Pedrotti's Ranch. The class features Leonard Byrd (track & field), Ryanne DuPree (track & field), Tamara Luckemeyer (volleyball), Teresa Neighbors (track & field), and Jessica Rogers (softball). Individual tickets run $100 with tables of eight available for $700 at Engage.UTSA.edu/HallofFame. The inductees will also be recognized on the field during the football game against North Texas on Nov. 14 at the Alamodome.
🔼 Well-Earned Promotion. UTSA men's golf has promoted Joey Ashley to associate coach after five seasons as an assistant. During his time in San Antonio, the Roadrunners have piled up 37 top-10 finishes, the 2026 Military City Collegiate team title, one individual victory, and three all-conference performers. UTSA has also been named a GCAA All-Academic Team in each of Ashley's five seasons on staff. The Roadrunners open the season Sept. 6-8 at the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate at Grande Dunes Golf Club.
🔼 Back At It. UTSA soccer is back on the pitch tomorrow! The Roadrunners will take on East Texas A&M at 7 p.m. CT on the road in Commerce.
