Good Morning, UTSA Fam. UTSA heads back up I-35 for the second straight week, this time to face No. 1 Texas tomorrow at 7 p.m. in Austin. It's the first time in program history the Roadrunners will face a team ranked No. 1 in both the AP Top 25 and the Coaches Poll. UTSA arrives at 2-0 for the first time since 2021, riding three straight wins and coming off win No. 100 in program history.

The Roadrunners are also one of just 20 turnover-free teams in the FBS. The game airs on SEC Network+ and Sports Radio AM 760 The Ticket.

🔼 Remembering Jacob Graner. UTSA Athletics is mourning the loss of former offensive lineman Jacob Graner, who passed away Sept. 12 at the age of 28. The Dripping Springs, Texas, product played for the Roadrunners from 2016 to 2019, appearing in 11 games with three starts as a junior and two more as a senior. He started at right guard in wins over Texas State and UTEP and was part of a unit that did not allow a sack against UAB. Graner is survived by his wife, Natalie, and his sons, Elijah and Mason. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations for the college fund of Jacob's children.

🔼 Sixth Straight. UTSA volleyball kept rolling last night in Houston, taking down Houston Christian 3-1 to extend its winning streak to six matches. Sydney Bryant led the way once again with 21 kills, while Isabella Arroyave turned in a monster all-around night with 15 kills on a .448 clip plus a team-high 15 digs. Ally Tribe reached the 500 career kill mark, and Caroline Tredwell added 10 kills before closing the match with an ace. The Roadrunners hit .273 as a team and served up eight aces to Houston Christian's zero.

🔼 Summer Standouts. UTSA baseball had a productive summer across the collegiate leagues, headlined by Aidan Eshelman taking home Texas Collegiate League Player of the Year honors. The incoming sophomore hit .417 with a 1.140 OPS for the Acadiana Cane Cutters, leading the league in both runs scored and RBIs before a four-game stint in the Cape Cod League. Caden Miller was named Second-Team All-League first baseman with the Hyannis Harbor Hawks, and incoming freshman Zeke Bullard earned Diamond Baseball League All-Star honors. Jalen Owens went 3-1 on the mound for the Victoria Generals and picked up the win in the TCL Championship game.

🔼 Clay Out For Season. UTSA women's basketball will be without sophomore Bhret Clay for the 2026-27 season due to an offseason injury, head coach Karen Aston announced Wednesday. Clay transferred to San Antonio after a freshman year at Air Force, where she earned Mountain West All-Freshman team honors while appearing in 34 games with 17 starts.
