🔼 Patch Deal Signed. UTSA has landed Thomas J. Henry Law as the first uniform patch sponsor for Roadrunners volleyball and men's and women's basketball. The logo will appear on all home and road jerseys, going white on navy and navy on orange and white. The San Antonio-based firm also becomes the exclusive personal injury sponsor for football, volleyball, and both basketball programs, with in-venue signage at the Alamodome and Convocation Center plus radio and digital integration. UTSA now has four teams with jersey patch sponsors, joining soccer, which features Las Palapas.

🔼 Writing History. Sydney Bryant piled up 40 kills across three sweeps at the Roadrunner Classic to earn American Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the first such honor for UTSA volleyball since joining the league in July 2023. The redshirt freshman averaged 4.44 kills per set on a .354 clip while adding 10 blocks and her first collegiate ace, taking tournament MVP honors along the way. Her best came Saturday against IU Indy, where she posted 15 kills on a .636 hitting percentage with just one error.

🔼 First Of The Season. Leah Varela's five-point night in the Hometown Showdown earned her American Conference Midfielder of the Week, the first weekly award for UTSA soccer this season and the first time a Roadrunner has claimed that specific honor. Varela scored her first career goal on a 41st-minute penalty kick and added two assists in the 3-1 win over UIW, a performance that ties for the third-highest single-game point total in program history. She now ties for the national lead in both total assists and assists per game. Sofia Peters picked up Honorable Mention after a two-goal night.

🔼 Be There. UTSA soccer has a big home match looming tomorrow with Santa Clara at 7 p.m. Roadrunner fans, we need you in the stands as the 4-0-3 Roadrunners look to stay unbeaten on the season and close out nonconference play! Tickets are available here.

🔼 Locked Down. UTSA linebacker Brandon Tucker earned an American Conference Honorable Mention this week after logging 13 tackles, six solo, and a tackle-for-loss in UTSA’s historic comeback win over Texas State.

🔼 Season-Opening Statement. UTSA men's tennis opened the fall with a statement in Corpus Christi, going 14-1 in open singles and taking four flight titles at the Jake Frederick Memorial Islander Open. Enzo Vargas won the Blue Flight with three straight three-set wins, while freshman Gabriel Jalouneix cruised through the Green Flight without dropping a set. Newcomer Dmitri Goubin and sophomore Timeo Bretin shared the Red Flight crown. Joel Hansson bounced back from an opening loss to close out the Purple Flight with two straight wins. The Roadrunners return to action Oct. 8-12 at the ITA Texas Regionals in Fort Worth.

🔼 National TV Slot. UTSA's nonconference finale against Colorado State on Saturday, Sept. 26 has been picked up by ESPNU, with an 11 a.m. kickoff at the Alamodome. It'll be the fourth meeting between the two programs, and the Roadrunners are coming off a 17-16 escape in Fort Collins last September. Tickets are available at goUTSA.com/tickets, with UTSA students getting in free through their Account Manager.

🔼 Fall Ball. UTSA softball's 2026 fall schedule is out, with four games at Roadrunner Field. The Roadrunners open Saturday, Oct. 3 with a doubleheader against Our Lady of the Lake at noon and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 5 p.m., then host Grayson on Oct. 9. From there it's three straight on the road, including the Battle for I-35 at Texas State on Oct. 22 and a trip to Austin to face Texas on Oct. 29. The fall wraps up at home against Texas A&M-San Antonio on Friday, Oct. 30.
