Good Morning, UTSA Fam. The UTSA Athletics Hall of Fame is welcoming five more legends! The 2026 class features Leonard Byrd (track & field), Ryanne DuPree (track & field), Tamara Luckemeyer (volleyball), Teresa Neighbors (track & field), and Jessica Rogers (softball).

From Byrd's still-standing 400-meter record of 44.88 to Luckemeyer's two Southland Player of the Year awards to Rogers powering UTSA softball to its first conference title, this group left a lasting legacy. The induction ceremony is set for Friday, Nov. 13, with the class also honored at the football game against North Texas the next day at the Alamodome!

🔼 Early Statement. UTSA soccer is off and running! The Roadrunners opened exhibition play on Wednesday night at Park West, battling Texas to a 1-1 draw. Brooklyn Bailey struck first in just the fourth minute, finishing a long Shea Ryan cross at the back post, and the UTSA defense held the Longhorns to just six shots across 70 minutes of regulation before Texas equalized with six seconds left in a situational period. Head coach Derek Pittman was "really pleased" with the defensive discipline and attacking aggressiveness as his team took on an SEC foe. Next up: Saturday's exhibition finale at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at noon.

🔼 Home Sweet Home. UTSA women's golf has its 2026-27 slate, and it includes a long-awaited return! Head coach Summer Batiste announced a schedule featuring trips to five states and Canada, plus the Alamo Invitational, the program's first home event since 2022, set for March 9-10 at San Antonio Country Club. The 22nd season of Roadrunner women's golf tees off Sept. 8-9 at The Bruzzy in Trophy Club before a trip north of the border for the Canadian Collegiate in Aurora, Ontario. The American Conference Championship awaits April 19-21 at Southern Hills Plantation Club in Brooksville, Florida!

🔼 Eight Straight. The classroom streak continues for UTSA men's golf! The Roadrunners earned the PLATFORM Golf All-Academic Team award from the Golf Coaches Association of America for the eighth consecutive year, posting a team GPA of 3.0 or better during the 2025-26 academic year. UTSA was among a GCAA-record 331 schools across six divisions to earn the honor.

🔼 Serving The Community. UTSA volleyball is giving back before the season begins! Ahead of Friday's Navy & Orange intrasquad scrimmage at the Convocation Center, the Roadrunners are partnering with Communities in Schools of San Antonio for a Stuff the Bus school supply donation drive. Donations of new school supplies (notebooks, binders, pencils, crayons, and more) are encouraged to help San Antonio-area students start the 2026-27 school year strong. A free kids clinic at 5 p.m. rounds out the festivities!
