Good Morning, UTSA Fam. UTSA's Lisa Campos keeps stacking up the hardware! The Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics was named the Sandy Barbour Nike DI FBS Athletic Director of the Year by Women Leaders in Sports, marking her second AD of the Year honor in 2026 after earning NACDA Athletics Director of the Year in March.
Since Campos led UTSA into the American Conference, the Roadrunners have claimed back-to-back baseball regular-season titles, women's basketball regular-season and tournament crowns, and a soccer tournament championship. She'll be celebrated at the Women Leaders National Convention Oct. 12-14 in Chicago.

🔼 Watch List Grows. Make it two Roadrunner soccer stars in the national spotlight! Graduate defender Kameron Kloza was named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's Players to Watch list, joining goalkeeper Jasmine Kessler among UTSA's United Soccer Coaches preseason watch list honorees.
The San Antonio native captained one of the stoutest back lines in the country last season, earning United Soccer Coaches All-South Region First Team honors and becoming the first UTSA player named American All-Conference First Team.
🔼 Keep Watch. UTSA quarterback Owen McCown is back on the national radar! The redshirt senior was named to the Maxwell Award Watch List for the second straight year, joining 81 FBS players up for the College Player of the Year honor. McCown threw for 2,995 yards and 30 touchdowns last fall, highlighted by a career night against Tulane where he completed 31 of 33 passes for a program-record .939 completion percentage.
🔼 Golden Roadrunner. UTSA rising sophomore Adriana Robles is a champion! Robles averaged 7.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists to help Puerto Rico capture the 5x5 Women's Basketball Championship at the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games.
She opened the run with a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double against Nicaragua, then closed it out with eight points and six assists in the 57-44 title game victory over Mexico.
🔼 On The Pitch. The reigning American Conference champions are back in action! UTSA soccer opens exhibition play this week, hosting Texas tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Park West Athletics Complex before traveling to Corpus Christi on Saturday to face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 12 p.m. Exhibition tickets available here; season tickets available here.
