Good Morning, UTSA Fam. Jasmine Kessler is making history! The senior UTSA goalkeeper was named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's Players to Watch list, becoming the first UTSA player ever to appear on a United Soccer Coaches preseason watch list.

Kessler backstopped the Roadrunners to their first American title last season while setting UTSA career records for wins, draws, and shutouts, and even gained national attention with a goalie goal at the NCAA Regional at Texas Tech.

🔼 Ranked & Ready. The defending American Conference champions are getting their due! UTSA women's soccer was picked No. 2 in the Preseason Coaches Poll, trailing only Memphis. It’s the program's highest preseason selection since joining the league.

Three Roadrunners, all from Spring, Texas, landed on the 2026 Watch List: senior goalkeeper Jasmine Kessler, redshirt junior defender Aaliyaiah Durden, and sophomore forward Brooklyn Bailey.

🔼 Staying Home. San Antonio talent is staying in the Alamo City! UTSA track & field announced the addition of Kira Albino, a standout from Johnson High School who earned NHSTFXCCA All-America honors as a senior in 2026 with a top 5k time of 18:49.60. Albino reached the UIL Cross Country State Championships the past two seasons and helped the Jaguars claim three straight District 28-6A titles, all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA and earning Academic All-District honors in each of her four campaigns.

🔼 Game Time. It's game week for UTSA soccer exhibition season, with the Texas Longhorns coming to Park West at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5. Tickets to the game are now just $14.50, including fees, and you can secure your season tickets here.

🔼 Coming Soon. Fall camp is underway for UTSA volleyball! The Roadrunners will host the Navy & Orange Scrimmage on Friday, Aug. 7, and host their first exhibition match on Saturday, Aug. 15, against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 2 p.m.

🔼 Moving Up. Congratulations to Samuel Limehouse, who earned a promotion to assistant coach of UTSA women’s basketball!
