🔼 Season Starts. UTSA Volleyball opens its 44th season this weekend at the Razorback Invitational in Fayetteville, with three matches against UT Arlington, SIU Edwardsville, and Arkansas. The 'Runners return 10 players from last year's squad, including six regular starters and 81.48% of their point production. The trip is a homecoming for head coach Carol Price-Torok, who spent eight seasons at Arkansas as associate head coach before taking over in San Antonio. First serve against UT Arlington is tonight at 4 p.m. CT.

🔼 Bring the Beak Heat. UTSA Athletics is bottling up Roadrunner pride! The department announced a partnership with The Jank to create Rowdy's Beak Heat BBQ, a gourmet sauce launching Oct. 17 with a pregame tasting during the tailgate before the Navy game at the Alamodome. The sweet, tangy sauce with a subtle kick comes in a 16-ounce glass bottle and a travel-friendly 7-ounce "Roadrunner" bottle perfect for tailgates and away games. UTSA is believed to be just the 10th college athletics department with a branded barbecue sauce; preorders are open now at UTSA.pro/BeakHeat!

🔼 Hoops and Halloween. UTSA Athletics is throwing a party with a purpose! The inaugural Basket-BALL tips off at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, in the new Basketball & Volleyball Training Center, supporting the men's and women's basketball programs. Tickets are $130 and include dinner, drinks, dunks, and dribbles, plus live and silent auctions featuring sports memorabilia, vacation destinations, and an all-inclusive Texas Hill Country hunt. 🔼 Magnificent Seven. Make it seven watch lists for Owen McCown! The UTSA quarterback was named to the Manning Award Watch List, joining 40 of the nation's top signal-callers up for the honor created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl to celebrate the Manning family's college football legacy. It's the only major quarterback award that factors in postseason performance. McCown, who threw for 2,995 yards and 30 touchdowns last fall, enters his final campaign as the starter in each of the past 27 games.

🔼 No Regrets. A UTSA legend takes his place among San Antonio's greats! Frank Harris, the most accomplished player in program history, will be inducted into the San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame during a ceremony tomorrow at the Convention Center. Harris set 38 program records while going 39-13 as a starter, leading the Roadrunners to Conference USA Championships in 2021 and 2022, all while enduring 11 surgeries across his seven-year career.

🔼 Lights, Camera, Action. The mascots are taking center stage, and Rowdy looks awfully good under the bright lights!
