Good Morning, UTSA Fam. Owen McCown keeps collecting preseason honors! The UTSA quarterback was named to the Walter Camp Player of the Year Watch List for the nation's fourth-oldest individual college football award.
McCown threw for 2,995 yards and 30 touchdowns last fall, highlighted by a career night against Tulane where he completed 31 of 33 passes for a program-record .939 completion percentage.

🔼 Sprint Star Signed. UTSA track and field is adding international speed! Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Aaron Fox announced the signing of English sprinter Gwendoline Datey, who joins the Roadrunners from Loughborough University for the 2026-27 season. Datey earned bronze at the 2024 BUCS Outdoor in the 200 meters, competed at the 2024 UK Olympic Trials, and posted a 60-meter personal best of 7.43 this year.
🔼 Record Scratch. UTSA soccer’s Jasmine Kessler is the proud owner of a new school record! Kessler has made the most goalkeeper appearances in program history with 54 straight games in net.
🔼 Fan Day Reminder. UTSA Fan Day is almost here! The annual event featuring the football and soccer teams runs from 1 to 3 p.m. this Saturday at the Convocation Center, with free admission and parking. Enjoy autograph opportunities, interactive activities, photos with the conference championship and bowl trophies, appearances by UTSA cheer and Rowdy, and free donuts from DonutNV while supplies last.
