Good Morning, UTSA Fam. The 2026 season starts with a bang! The defending American Conference champion Roadrunners host 2025 Sun Belt champion Texas State in the 13th Battle for I-35, presented by Las Palapas, tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Park West.
UTSA will celebrate last year's first-ever American title with trophy photo opportunities, and the first 250 fans receive a 2025 American Champs T-shirt as part of a "Navy Out."

🔼 Fan Day Fun. Roadrunner fans, it's almost time to meet the teams! UTSA Athletics hosts its annual Fan Day featuring the football and soccer squads from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Convocation Center, with free admission and parking.
Enjoy autograph opportunities, interactive activities, photos with the conference championship and bowl trophies, appearances by UTSA cheer and Rowdy, plus free donuts from DonutNV while supplies last. Volleyball fans can pick up autograph cards at the Aug. 15 exhibition.
🔼 Versatility Honored. UTSA's David Amador II does it all, and now the nation is taking notice. The wide receiver landed on the Paul Hornung Award Watch List, given to college football's most versatile player. Amador showed off that versatility as a redshirt sophomore in 2025, catching 45 passes for 443 yards and four touchdowns, throwing for touchdowns, and returning 11 punts.
🔼 Service Star. UTSA's Bryce Grays was named to the 2026 Allstate Wuerffel Trophy Watch List, honoring FBS players who exemplify community service, academic excellence, and athletic achievement. Grays has volunteered at a local children's hospital, participated in San Antonio's MLK March, helped with toy drives, and served as Volunteer Chair on UTSA's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
🔼 Pro Eyes. UTSA softball adds big-league expertise to the dugout! Head coach Vann Stuedeman announced Jeff Edwards as an assistant coach, bringing decades of Major League Baseball experience to the Roadrunners. Edwards spent nearly 20 combined years with the Colorado Rockies as a regional scout and instructional league coach, plus a stint as the New York Mets' Midwest scouting supervisor.
