Good morning, Roadrunners Fam. UTSA Athletics announced the Aug. 1 launch of the 2-1-0 Challenge, a community-focused initiative aimed at selling 1,500 UTSA Football season tickets in 30 days. The challenge embodies the special relationship between UTSA Athletics and the City of San Antonio.

As part of this challenge, fans can purchase this limited-time offer of two (2) club-level season tickets for just $210 ($105 each), a high-value deal designed to welcome more fans into the Alamodome for the 2025 season at an affordable price point.

🔼 Willie = One to Watch 👀. UTSA senior Willie McCoy III has been selected for the Paul Hornung Award Watch List.

McCoy is one of 46 players—including one of six from the American Conference—on the watch list for the award. Now in its 16th season, the Paul Hornung Award is given annually to the most versatile player in major college football by the Louisville Sports Commission.

McCoy played in 11 games and started 10 at wide receiver last season, leading UTSA in receiving yards with 536. The Bellaire High School product made 28 receptions and scored four touchdowns.

🔼 How Do You Like Them Smart Apples? 🍎 UTSA has placed 206 student-athletes on the 2024-25 American Conference All-Academic Team.

A record total of 3,599 student-athletes across the league were selected to the 2024-25 American All-Academic Team. To be eligible for the honor, a nominee must have competed in an American-sponsored sport, attained a minimum grade-point average of 3.00 for the preceding year, and completed a minimum of two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters of academic work.

🔼 A+ FOR C-Squared. UTSA redshirt junior Camron Cooper has been named to the watch list for the 2025 Allstate Wuerffel Trophy, Allstate and the Wuerffel Foundation announced Thursday.

Cooper, who was named a nominee for the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team earlier this month, is one of a record 116 nominees to the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy Watch List, recognizing college football players from across the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) who exemplify community service, academic excellence and athletic achievement.
