Good Morning, UTSA Fam. UTSA women's basketball coach Karen Aston has completed the 2026-27 roster by signing Spanish point guard Jana Ros, the seventh member of the signing class. The 5-5 pass-first guard hails from Mataró, Spain, where she helped Unió Esportiva Mataró claim Catalonia championships in both 5x5 and 3x3 and earned a spot on the Spanish National 3x3 Championship.

🔼 Welcome to UTSA. UTSA men's basketball has added 6-foot-9 transfer forward Ashton Smith, a Houston-area native returning to Texas after two seasons at South Dakota. In 2024-25, Smith appeared in all 33 games for the Coyotes, shooting 56.2 percent and leading the team with 24 blocks. He comes from deep basketball roots: his mother played at North Texas, his father at Houston, his uncle at Syracuse, and his grandfather Lucious Jackson was the fourth overall pick in the 1964 NBA Draft.
