Good Morning, UTSA Fam. The San Antonio City Council honored the UTSA Women's Basketball team Thursday for its 2026 American Conference Tournament Championship, the program's first conference title since 2009.

As a sixth seed, the Roadrunners won four games in four days, defeating the conference's top three seeds en route to the title. Senior Cheyenne Rowe was named Most Outstanding Player, averaging 16.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game, while coach Karen Aston became the 15th Division I coach in history to lead three different programs to the NCAA Tournament.

🔼 On The Diamond. UTSA baseball will open the 2027 season at the College Baseball Series in Cleburne, Texas, joining Tarleton State, UT Arlington and Washington State for a three-day tournament at La Moderna Field from March 5-7. The field features plenty of postseason pedigree: both Washington State and Tarleton State earned NCAA Regional appearances in 2026, while UTSA made a Super Regional run in 2025. Home plate reserved tickets go on sale Friday, June 26 at 9 a.m. CT at collegebaseballseries.com.

🔼 Preseason Standouts. UTSA running back Will Henderson III and kicker Michael Petro earned spots on Dave Campbell's Texas Football Preseason All-Texas College Second Team. Henderson rushed for 866 yards and six touchdowns on 125 carries in 2025, tallying the second-most rushing yards in a season by a freshman in program history. Petro was equally impressive, converting 17 of 20 field goals and all 56 extra-point attempts for a team-high 107 points, third on UTSA's single-season list, capped by a program-record eight PATs in the 61-13 win over Rice.

🔼 Welcome to UTSA. UTSA men's basketball has added combo guard Isaiah Coleman, a 6-foot-6 wing with 96 games of high-major experience. Coleman arrives from Oklahoma State, where he shot 49.4 percent from the field and helped the Cowboys to an NIT appearance, and before that was Seton Hall's leading scorer as a sophomore at 15.6 points per game, earning All-Met First Team honors.

🔼 Leading The Way. Members of the Rowdy Creative Agency were featured presenters at the SkullSparks26 national convention, sharing how their department structure and approach to storytelling and creative content is setting a national standard.

Your Wendy’s Woman of the Month is UTSA Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Lisa Campos! Campos was recognized as a recipient of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Athletics Director of the Year award at the 61st-annual NACDA & Affiliates Convention at Mandalay Bay Resort.
