Good Morning, UTSA Fam. Drew Detlefsen and Conor Myles became the first UTSA teammates to earn All-America honors in the same season, landing on the NCBWA Division I Third Team. The recognition came one day after both earned ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Second Team nods.

Detlefsen, the American Conference Player of the Year, ranked fifth nationally with 96 hits and 22nd in RBI (70). Myles, the conference's Pitcher of the Year, finished 10-1 with a 3.28 ERA and a perfect 8-0 mark in league play.

🔼 Updates From Eugene. Ida Breigan added to her decorated career with a 15th-place finish in the long jump at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, earning Second Team All-America honors for the fifth time. Breigan hit 6.34 meters on her opening attempt for the program's 24th women's All-America honor in history. Daisy Monie earned All-America Honorable Mention with a 19th-place shot put finish of 16.24 meters in her first outdoor nationals appearance. On Wednesday, Martin Kouyoumdjian finished 18th overall in 400 meter.

🔼 Leading The Way. UTSA Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Lisa Campos received the NACDA Athletics Director of the Year award at the association's convention in Las Vegas, one of four FBS recipients alongside leaders from Oklahoma, Indiana, and Miami. Since arriving in 2017, Campos has overseen a transformational era that includes more than 40 All-Americans, 11 team conference championships, and the opening of the $40.4 million Roadrunner Athletics Center of Excellence.

UTSA has thrived since joining the American Conference in 2023, winning back-to-back regular-season baseball titles, conference championships in women's basketball and soccer, and a school-record 47-win baseball season that reached the NCAA Super Regional. The department also posted a record 92 percent graduation success rate and became the first school in the nation to provide first-generation jersey patches for student-athletes.

🔼 Preseason Praise. Seven UTSA football players landed on the Phil Steele Preseason All-American Conference Team, headlined by quarterback Owen McCown and running back Will Henderson III on the First Team. Wide receiver David Amador II and linebacker Owen Pewee earned Second Team nods, while linebacker Camron Cooper, offensive lineman Darrell Jones, and punter Caile Hogan rounded out the selections on the third and fourth teams.
