The UTSA baseball team picked up its fourth AAC series sweep in a 3-2 victory over USF on Sunday.

Good morning, Roadrunners Fam. The UTSA baseball team picked up its fourth American Athletic Conference series sweep in a 3-2 victory over USF on Sunday, May 4, at USF Baseball Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

James Taussig had two hits for his 13th multi-hit game of the season. Braylon Owens’ 8.2 innings pitched is also the longest a Roadrunner arm has thrown this season.

🔼 What’s Goin’ On in the Kitchen? Registration for the second-annual UTSA Athletics Pickleball Tournament, scheduled for June 26, is now open! The UTSA Athletics Pickleball Tournament will feature a round-robin format with each doubles team being guaranteed three games. All proceeds from the tournament will go to benefit UTSA Athletics' Title IX Opportunity Fund.

🔼 What’s Your Twenty? A new $35 million athletic center at the main campus of the University of Texas at San Antonio is taking shape with funding from the City of San Antonio approved Thursday. City Council voted in favor of a funding agreement with UTSA valued at $5 million for the basketball and volleyball practice facility.

The 52,000-square-foot facility will be built next to the Roadrunner Athletics Center of Excellence, and will house the daily operations of the UTSA men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball programs.

🔼 We’re All “Four” This. The UTSA men’s and women’s track and field teams produced four big medalists at E.B. Cushing Stadium, while closing the outdoor regular season on Saturday at Texas A&M’s Alumni Muster. Senior Rachela pace took the triple jump event win, as did sophomore Nyaluet Diew in the shot put, while rookies Selma Ims and Charlie Staddon each produced medal-worthy hurdles performances.
