Your Wendy’s Woman of the Month is Track & Field star Mia Lien.
The freshman from Norway captured silver at at the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships. Lien earned third place and was second among collegiate performers in the long jump, hitting 6.15m (20-2.25) in her second pass of the finals, at the Texas Invitational in April.
Here are some impressive achievements before Lien became a Roadrunner:
Holds four Norwegian titles including three in the long jump … swept the national crowns in 2020, leaping 5.97 meters (19-7) indoors and 6.22m (20-5) outdoors … also cleared 1.80m (5-10.75) to capture gold in the high jump … claimed another championship in the long jump with a 6.20m (20-4.25) measurement at the 2022 Norwegian Indoor Championships … owns a personal-best long jump leap of 6.31m (20-8.5) and a top clearance of 1.82m (5-11.5) in the high jump …

🔼 You Game? The AAC announced a number of kickoff times and television designations for the 2025 football season, including a handful of UTSA games.
The Roadrunners now know start times and broadcast networks for their first three games, as well as for a pair of Thursday night contests during league play.
UTSA will kick off its 15th season of football and sixth year under head coach Jeff Traylor against Texas A&M at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, in what will be a national televised matchup on ESPN live from Kyle Field in College Station.

🔼 From the Court to Courtside. Head WBB coach Karen Aston announced the addition of UTSA alumnus Amber Gregg to the 2025-26 coaching staff.
No stranger to San Antonio, Gregg will serve as an assistant coach in the Convo after starring in it as a player from 2007-11. She led the ‘Runners to a Southland Conference regular-season title in 2008-09, as well as back-to-back SLC Tournament Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances in 2007-08 and 2008-09. She was the 11th player in program history to surpass 1,000 points, charting 1,143, which sits 12th on the all-time leader board, while 200 three-pointers made and an 82.2% clip from the free-throw line are each program records.

🔼 Goal: Track Tickets Punched. The UTSA track & field teams are sending 18 Roadrunner student-athletes to the next level of the postseason this week, set for competition at Texas A&M’s E.B. Cushing Stadium in College Station, Texas for the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships West First Round, contested through May 31.
Men's competition is scheduled for Friday, while the women will compete on Saturday for the right to advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championships. The top 12 finishers in each event will move on to the national meet on June 11-14 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.

Newly hired WBB coach Amber Gregg is fourth in games played (118) and eighth in games started (86) at UTSA. Gregg also holds the single-game record for free throws made with 17 against Texas State on Feb. 26, 2011, a figure that also serves as a Southland Conference record, and 32 points against Jackson State on Nov. 28, 2009, rank 10th. Additionally, she was an all-conference selection in 2010-11 after posting a team-high 13.7 points per game to go with 3.2 assists per game.
