🔼 It’s a Dog-Eat-Dog World. JYD.
Three letters perfectly capture the spirit of the UTSA Baseball program. They stand for junkyard dog—the mindset that has propelled the Roadrunners through a historic 2025 season that includes a school-record 44 wins (and counting), the AAC regular-season championship and the program’s first-ever at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
“I think the best way to encapsulate it is there’s no reason not to get the job done,” said Pat Hallmark, UTSA’s sixth-year head coach and the 2025 AAC Coach of the Year. “Whether you’re talking about a facility or the weather or any bit of adversity that may creep into life in general or a baseball game, none of that stuff matters. There’s a task at hand and somebody is capable of performing. We want to be that somebody.”

🔼 Miles Ahead. On Tuesday, head WBB coach Karen Aston announced that Cameron Miles, who served as Assistant Coach / Coordinator of Scouting in the 2024-25 season, would be promoted to Associate Head Coach, filling the position left vacant by current Omaha Head Coach Jamie Carey.
Miles climbed the ladder quickly at UTSA, coming on as an Assistant Coach in 2021 and receiving a promotion to Coordinator of Scouting in 2024. The team reached new heights in 2024-25, with a 26-4 mark representing the best in program history and a 17-1 league record, which earned the team the AAC Regular Season Championship. He has mentored several standout performers, including 2024-25 American Athletic Conference Player of the Year Jordyn Jenkins.

🧐 TRIVIA ANSWER
Answer: Three times!
This is the Roadrunners’ fourth regional appearance in program history, as the previous three were in 1994, 2005 and 2013. This is UTSA’s first regional appearance as an at-large bid, as the Roadrunners made three appearances as an automatic bid by winning the conference tournament.
