🔼 Ran For It. UTSA track and field closed the American Conference Outdoor Championships with a statement performance, with the women finishing runner-up at 106 points and the men eighth at 41. Sophomore Selma Ims was the day's standout, breaking the program's 100-meter hurdles record, earning silver in the 400-meter hurdles, and anchoring the conference-winning 4x400 relay, a 3:33.73 clocking that shattered a school record that had stood since 1992.
Jemuel Miller won his second conference title of the year in the men's triple jump with a nation-top-three 16.69m effort, breaking his own school record. Edlin Laur took bronze in the high jump and Nyariek Kur earned bronze in the triple jump, while freshman Ryan Heeren was named American Men's Freshman of the Year for his bronze-medal decathlon performance. Qualified Roadrunners head to the NCAA West First Round at Arkansas from May 27-30.

🔼 Cap and Gown. UTSA Athletics celebrated 55 spring and summer graduates Friday evening on Main Campus, a class which collectively earned five conference championships, 11 all-conference selections, three All-America certificates, four bowl game appearances with three wins, and a 3.30 cumulative GPA. The group logged over 1,000 community service hours and earned 45 American Conference All-Academic Team selections along the way. Congrats, Roadrunners!
🤙🏼 ONE BIG THING

UTSA men's basketball has signed Ohio University transfer JJ Kelly, a 6-foot-6 guard who averaged 8.6 points and 3.8 rebounds while shooting 52 percent from the field in 31 games as a freshman. Kelly led the Bobcats with 26 blocks on the year and scored in double figures 14 times. The Pennsylvania native is one of the more decorated multi-sport prospects in recent memory; he's the all-time scoring leader in Chambersburg basketball history with 1,951 points, a back-to-back Pennsylvania state champion in the triple jump, and a former football recruit with Division I offers. Kelly becomes the fourth spring signing for head coach Austin Claunch heading into year three at UTSA.
