Good Morning, UTSA Fam. UTSA track and field opened the American Conference Outdoor Championships in Denton with a banner day headlined by Lauralyn Clifford's hammer throw title. Coming in ranked second, Clifford took the lead on her very first throw at 60.72m, breaking her own UTSA record and surpassing her Saint Lucia National Record for the fourth time this season.

On the multi-event side, freshman Ryan Heeren leads the decathlon after day one with 3,891 points, buoyed by wins in the 400 meters and long jump, while Edlin Laur sits third in the women's heptathlon with 3,279 points. In the 400-meter hurdles prelims, Selma Ims won her heat with a season-best 57.27 and Fatoumata Kabo ran a season-best 59.13, with both advancing to Saturday's final.

🔼 Fresh Phenom. UTSA freshman Arlette Hernandez earned NFCA All-Central Region Third Team honors after one of the best debut seasons in program history. She started 32 games (eighth-most in the NCAA), threw 189.2 innings (14th nationally), completed 18 games (17th), and struck out 157 batters across 38 appearances. Hernandez becomes the first Roadrunner to earn an NFCA All-Region nod since Madison Washington in 2019 and just the second pitcher in program history to receive the award.

🔼 Beat ‘Em Down. UTSA baseball dominated Texas State earlier this week, and they did it in front of a record crowd of 1,585! Thank you, Roadrunner fans!
