Good morning, Roadrunners Fam. UTSA’s All-American cornerback Zah Frazier is headed to the land of Italian beef and deep dish pizza after the Chicago Bears selected him in the fifth round of this past weekend’s NFL Draft.

Frazier becomes the fifth roadrunner in program history to be drafted, joining David Morgan II (2016), Marcus Davenport (2018), Spencer Burford (2022) and Tariq Woolen (2022).

🔼 Get Your Brooms Out. What’s the best way to follow up a 17-7 series-clinching win on Saturday? The ‘Runners found out on Sunday, beating Memphis on a walk-off base hit from Ty Hodge in the 11th inning to sweep Memphis and move to 15-3 in AAC play.

UTSA has been as cool as a cucumber in close games this season, with a 4-1 record in games that were tied after the eighth inning and 2-0 in games that made it to extra innings.

🔼 Senior Sunday. It was a freshman stepping up for UTSA softball on Senior Day yesterday, with Ava Eldridge tossing a complete-game shutout against Tulsa to help the ‘Runners earn a series win against the Golden Hurricanes.

A trio of ‘Runners homered to help the cause — Crislyne Moreno and Lindsey Davis both homered on their Senior Day, and junior Katia Reyes added another round-tripper.

🔼 Runnin’ Around. UTSA track and field crossed the finish line of the Texas Invitational last Friday in Austin, with competition once again highlighted by Fatoumata Kabo’s performance in the women’s 400m. Kabo, the top collegiate performer in the event this season, finished third in 53.46 behind two unattached runners.
