🤙🏼 And much, much more!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Global Game. UTSA men's golf freshman Joshua Hong brings a unique story to the Roadrunners' lineup as the program heads into the American Conference Championship. A dual citizen of Mexico and South Korea who grew up in Guadalajara, Hong didn't pick up a golf club until 2020, yet by 2024 he was the No. 1-ranked junior golfer in Mexico.

This spring, he's already tied the school record with an 8-under 64, won the American Conference Golfer of the Week, and helped lead UTSA to a first-place team finish at the USAA Military City Collegiate.

🔼 Chasing a Championship. And speaking of UTSA men’s golf, the Roadrunners tee off on the American Conference Championship from Sarasota, Fla., today through Wednesday. Joshua Hong leads the Roadrunners with a 71.73 stroke average, flirting with the program's single-season scoring record. He's joined in the lineup by Brayden Bare, Francisco Solorza, Logan Vargas, and David Martinez, with Sam Acharya as the alternate. UTSA enters its third American Conference Championship looking to build on last year's sixth-place tie, when Bare and Vargas both cracked the top 20. The Roadrunners will square off against 10 conference foes, including No. 22 Charlotte, with ESPN+ carrying the final round.

🔼 Spring Session. UTSA's spring game ended in a 7-7 tie Saturday at the Alamodome in front of roughly 3,000 fans, capping the spring workout season. Using a modified scoring system, the offense jumped out to a 5-2 lead behind touchdown catches from Will Henderson III, a 69-yard house call, and A'Marion Peterson, but the defense clawed back by forcing seven punts to grab a 7-6 edge. Jesse Perez's 35-yard field goal on the final play evened things up. The Roadrunners open their 16th season of football and Jeff Traylor's seventh year at the helm on Sept. 5 against UTRGV at the Alamodome.
