Good morning, Roadrunners Fam. Former UTSA women’s basketball standout Jordyn Jenkins has officially signed a WNBA Training Camp Contract with the Las Vegas Aces. In doing so, Jenkins became the first Roadrunner in program history to sign with a WNBA program.
This follows a season that saw Jenkins named the 2024-25 AAC Player of the Year. Also as a First-Team All-AAC pick, she led the league, averaging 18.8 PPG at a 47.6% clip to go with 6.9 RPG and 34 blocks. In her first season at UTSA, she was the Conference USA Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year in 2022-23, scoring a program-record 659 points across the campaign.

🔼 Not Your Average “Bare”. Brayden Bare is in a tie for fourth place, two shots off the individual lead, while UTSA has a share of fifth following the second day of the AAC Men’s Golf Championship on Tuesday at Ritz-Carlton Members Club (par 72/7,292 yards).
Bare matched his career-best score with a second straight 4-under-par 68 to move to 8-under 136 for the week, good for the third-best 36-hole total ever posted by a Roadrunner. The redshirt sophomore is tied for fourth with South Florida’s Jake Peacock — the 49th-ranked player in the nation — and FAU’s Biagio Gagliardi, one shot out of a tie for second and two strokes off the pace of 10-under par set by South Florida’s Wilhelm Ryding.
It was a terrific Tuesday!

🔼 Tuesdays Are For Round-Trippers. The UTSA softball team picked up an 8-2 victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Tuesday, with senior Camryn Robillard launching a home run and sophomore Madison Lenton driving in three in nonconference action at Roadrunner Field.
UTSA’s 19th win of the season represents the most since the 2019 campaign. Freshman Ava Eldridge (6-8) scattered three hits across five innings for the win, while Holly Ayala (1-4) was handed the loss.

🔼 Setting the Pace. Senior transfers Hugo Menin and Rachela Pace have both been recognized for their performances this past week, as the AAC has named Menin the Men’s Track Athlete of the Week and Pace the Women’s Field Athlete of the Week. This marks the third and fourth weekly awards for the Roadrunners this outdoor season.
The second weekly award for the first-year transfer from Tarleton State this outdoor season, Menin (Cysoing, France) ran the seventh-fastest 400m hurdles time in the nation over the weekend at the 65th Mt. SAC Relays. A first-year transfer from Fresno State, Pace (Dingli, Malta) registered a season-best measurement in the triple jump with a leap of 13.05m (42-9.75), also at the Mt. SAC Relays.
Have yourself a week, Norris! 👏
