UTSA women's golf sits third heading into today’s final round of the American Conference Championship in Brooksville, Florida, at 589 (+17), trailing leader Tulsa (568) and Charlotte (583). Freshman Victoria Schuldt is the individual story; tied for sixth at 1-over 145, she is the only player in the field with two eagles through 36 holes, both on the par-5 12th. Final round coverage begins at noon CT on ESPN+.

🔼 Did It Again. UTSA senior Drew Detlefsen earned American Conference Player of the Week honors for the second time this season, making him the first player in the conference to win the award twice in 2026. Detlefsen hit .381 with eight hits, a double, triple, and home run, and scored a team-high seven runs across four games against Baylor and Charlotte.

Pitcher Connor Kelley also earned honorable mention after posting 6.2 scoreless innings across two outings with eight strikeouts. UTSA heads to New Orleans this weekend for a three-game American Conference series at Tulane.

🔼 Double Sweep. UTSA track and field swept the American Conference Field Athletes of the Week for the second time this outdoor season, with Jemuel Miller and Ida Breigan both earning the honor for their performances at the Mt. SAC Relays. Miller broke his own school record in the triple jump with a 16.25m effort, the second-best mark among collegiate performers, extending his American Conference lead to 1.13 meters. Breigan won the elite long jump division with a 6.42m jump, her second event victory outdoors, and currently sits third in the national standings. Both lead the American Conference in their respective events heading into the postseason.

🔼 Player of the Week. Congratulations to UTSA softball’s Taryn Madlock for earning an American Conference Honorable Mention for her performance last week!

🔼 Contest Time! UTSA Athletics is giving students a chance to design the official 2026-27 Birdcage Student Section T-shirt. Submissions are due April 29, with the winning design set to be handed out at the home football opener against UTRGV on Sept. 5.
