📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Series Winners. The UTSA Softball team took a weekend series from UAB, winning two of three games in Birmingham, Ala. The Roadrunners (22-26, 10-11 The American) have reached 22 victories on the season, which marks its most since the 2015 campaign. The ‘Runners will now host Charlotte for a three-game American Conference series beginning Friday at 6 p.m. inside Roadrunner Field.

🔼 Roadrunner in the Playoffs. UTSA basketball alum Keaton Wallace is headed to the NBA Playoffs as a member of the Atlanta Hawks, who opened the Eastern Conference First Round against the New York Knicks over the weekend. Wallace becomes just the second former Roadrunner to reach the playoffs, joining Devin Brown, who played 33 career postseason games across four franchises, including the Spurs' 2005 NBA championship run. After going undrafted in 2021 and working his way up through the G-League, Wallace had his contract converted to a standard deal by Atlanta in October 2025 and has appeared in 53 games this season.

🔼 From Girl Scout to Conference Champion. UTSA women's golf senior Daniela Abonce grew up in Veracruz, Mexico, tagging along on her father's weekend golf rounds at age seven before turning it into a career. She earned a spot on Mexico's national team at age 10, competed at the junior national level, and ultimately chose UTSA for its coaches, facilities, and welcoming environment for international student-athletes. As a sophomore, she claimed the 2024 American Conference individual championship, becoming the first Roadrunner to win the title since Ana Isabel Gonzalez in 2019. Now a senior, she heads into her final American Conference Championship from April 20-22.

🔼 Chasing a Championship. UTSA women's golf makes its third appearance at the American Conference Championship this week, competing April 20-22 in Brooksville, Florida, the same course where Daniela Abonce won the individual title in 2024. Senior Lauren Rios leads the team with a 74.4 stroke average and four top-25 finishes this season, while Abonce is second at 74.83 and brings the confidence of a defending individual champion into the field. UTSA has finished in the top five at 16 of the last 17 conference tournaments across all leagues.

🔼 Shining at Mt. SAC. UTSA track and field wrapped up a strong showing at the 66th Annual Mt. SAC Relays in California, finishing with four event winners across the weekend. On Saturday, Lauralyn Clifford won the hammer throw with a 58.31m toss and Ida Breigan claimed the elite long jump at 6.42m for her second outdoor win of the season. Jemuel Miller broke his own UTSA triple jump record with a 16.25m effort, moving to seventh nationally and leading the American Conference by over a meter. The women's 4x400 relay squad closed things out with the American's top time and third-best clocking in UTSA history (3:35.40).
