Good morning, Roadrunners Fam. For the second consecutive season, the UTSA WBB team will compete in a national postseason tournament, with the squad receiving an automatic berth into the Women's Basketball Invitational Tournament (WBIT). UTSA is set to take on Gonzaga in the first round on Thursday, March 20, in Spokane, Washington. The selection comes after a historic 26-4 season, including a 17-1 mark in conference play and an AAC regular season championship.

This will be UTSA's fourth time playing in a postseason tournament and its first appearance in the WBIT after previously competing in the WNIT in 2024, and making the NCAA Tournament following Southland Conference Tournament Championships in 2008 and 2009.

🔼 A Mixed Bag, Part One. After dropping the Friday game, the UTSA baseball team took down No. 20 Dallas Baptist on Saturday—the squad’s second win against a ranked opponent.

Pitcher Braylon Owens went right to work in game two, as he struck out the first three batters he saw. Owens gave up his first hit in the second, which was a solo home run to give DBU the lead.

🔼 A Mixed Bag, Part Two. The UTSA softball team split with Memphis across a Friday doubleheader, first falling 7-2 before working a 4-3 win at the Tiger Softball Complex.

UTSA bounced back in game two, with Ava Eldridge (3-1) earning a 4-3 victory and Reyes (3) logging a save. Sophomore Caton Letbetter strutted her stuff in the win with a double and a critical defense play.

🔼 Time to Ascend. Ascend Collegiate Services, a division of Ascend Fundraising Solutions, and UTSA Athletics have announced a partnership aimed at significantly increasing financial support for UTSA’s student-athletes across all sports.

Runners United, the Roadrunners’ official NIL initiative, will now feature an innovative multi-tiered subscription-based program designed to channel fan enthusiasm into direct support for UTSA’s student-athletes.
