Good Morning, UTSA Fam. Women’s basketball punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, with the No. 6 seed Roadrunners upsetting No. 1 seed Rice in the American Women’s Basketball Championship, 54-40!

🔼 Let’s Dance. UTSA women’s basketball, winner of this year’s American Women’s Basketball Tournament, earned a No. 16 seed in the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, and will take on No. 1 seed UConn on March 21 in Storrs, Connecticut!

🔼 Sweep Secured. UTSA softball completed a sweep of Memphis on Sunday at Roadrunner Field to improve to 6-0 in American Conference action, matching the 2006 team for the best start to conference play in program history. The Roadrunners outscored the Tigers 25-7 over the course of the weekend.

🔼 Sunday Fun Day. UTSA baseball won on Sunday against UT Arlington, scoring 15 runs thanks to three home runs to salvage the final game of the series with the Mavericks. Drew Detlefsen homered twice for the Roadrunners, and Diego Diaz went deep once.

🔼 Hey Now, You’re An All-American. UTSA track and field’s Ida Breigan once again collected All-American honors over the weekend, earning a First Team nod with an eighth-place finish in the women’s long jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas. With Friday’s finish, Breigan matches hall-of-famer Tameka Roberts-Nunez for the most indoor All-America honors and is the first UTSA long jumper to reach both three indoor All-America accolades and four overall in the event.
