πŸ”Ό By Leaps and Bounds. With two Norwegian student-athletes representing the UTSA women’s track and field team this weekend, sophomore Ida Breigan and freshman Mia Lien will begin their indoor postseason competition today at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. Both Roadrunners will be in action at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in the long jump and the pentathlon.

πŸ”Ό Mother Nature Moves Memphis Games. The UTSA softball team is set to take on Memphis, with a three-game AAC series on the docket at the Tiger Softball Complex. Due to inclement weather, The Roadrunners (12-11, 0-3 AAC) and Tigers (12-14, 1-2 AAC) will now have back-to-back contests beginning today at Noon CT, ahead of the series finale Saturday at 3 p.m.

UTSA will look to snap a four-game skid, suffering a trio of losses against East Carolina before falling to UT Arlington, 5-3, in a midweek bout. Freshman Skylar Rucker and senior Jaylen Prichard provided bright spots in the contest, as Rucker went 2-for-3 and Prichard plated a run on a triple.

πŸ”Ό Lucky Seven at the Clover Cup. Led by top-25 finishes from Daniela Abonce and Morgan Ellison, the UTSA women’s golf team placed seventh at the Clover Cup, which wrapped up on Wednesday.

Abonce tied for 20th and Ellison grabbed a share of 24th to help the Roadrunners take seventh with an 879, seven shots ahead of Northern Illinois and 10 in front of UNC Wilmington while ending up just six strokes behind sixth-place Colorado State.

This marked Abonce’s fifth top-20 performance of the 2024-25 season. Ellison was three shots behind her teammate in a three-way tie for 24th (219).
