The Roadrunners will face Texas, Nebraska, and Washington in the star-studded tournament during opening week. 🔼 On The Biggest Stage. Former UTSA cornerback Tariq Woolen will become the third Roadrunner to appear in a Super Bowl when his Seattle Seahawks face the New England Patriots on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. CT at Levi's Stadium. The fifth-round 2022 NFL Draft pick recorded 41 tackles, 12 pass breakups, and one interception this season after earning NFC Pro Bowl honors as a rookie with six interceptions.

🔼 A Different Route. Former Arlington Heights wide receiver Tariq Woolen switched to cornerback late in 2019 at UTSA after catching just 24 passes over three years, with new cornerbacks coach Nick Graham promising to get him to the NFL in two years if he committed to the position. The 6-4 Woolen delivered, posting a 4.26 40-yard dash at the 2022 NFL Combine, the third-fastest in combine history, before Seattle selected him in the fifth round. He earned All-Rookie and Pro Bowl honors in 2022 with six interceptions and now plays in Super Bowl LX, becoming the third UTSA alum to reach the NFL championship game. 🔼 Pen To Paper. UTSA coach Jeff Traylor announced 20 additions on National Signing Day, bringing the 2026 recruiting class total to 39 signees after 19 inked in December. The class features 24 Texans, including five from San Antonio, with 15 out-of-state additions and one Ghana native, while 30 of the 39 are already enrolled for spring semester.
