Good morning, Roadrunners Fam. The UTSA WBB team is set to host East Carolina tonight, with a 6:30 p.m. tip. The contest is an American Athletic Conference Showcase game and will also serve as the squad's annual Black History Month contest. The Roadrunners (20-3, 11-1 The American) look to extend their program record 13-game winning streak in The Convo.
Last week, they edged past North Texas, 54-52, before besting Wichita State 60-49 to remain atop The American standings. Sophomore Idara Udo was a phenom, posting back-to-back double-doubles on the week, first dropping 11 points and 10 rebounds against the Mean Green ahead of a 14-point, 12-rebound performance against the Shockers.

š¼ Coming Home. It didnāt take Makalya Madrid long to feel at home with UTSA Softball. Returning to San Antonio to join the Roadrunners for the 2025 season after beginning her collegiate career at Texas Tech has been everything she hoped it would be.
Madrid was one of several newcomers who highlighted the Roadrunnersā impressive performances that led them to the UTSA Invitational Championship this past weekend and gave them the best start in program history at 5-0. She led her squad in batting average with a .462 clip, recording six hits, including a home run and a team-best three doubles. Madrid topped all UTSA players with eight RBI.
Go here for more on Coach Vann Stuedemanās comments on Madridās silly personality, how the transfer came about and the āRunnersā hardcore recruiting in San Antonio.

š¼ Stopping On a Dime. The UTSA womenās tennis team remains undefeated to open the 2025 season as they routed Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 4-1 in an away match on Monday, Feb. 10.
The Roadrunners are now 10-0 on the season, with seven wins coming on the road. In the 10 matches, the Roadrunners have outscored their opponents 46-5. UTSA is 37-4 in singles and 20-5 in doubles play.

š¼ Seeking Series Sweep. The UTSA MBB team (10-13, 4-7 AAC) saw its two-game homestand produce exceptionally tight finishes, but the Roadrunners came out on the losing end of a pair of one-point contests with Tulane and East Carolina. This week, the Roadrunners have two away from the Convocation Center, opening tonight at Wichita State (13-10, 3-7 AAC) at Charles Koch Arena. UTSA defeated the Shockers, 88-75, on Jan. 11 in Austin Claunchās first AAC win. Wednesdayās game with the Shockers will be broadcast on UTSA radio and steamed live on ESPN+ with a 6:30 p.m. tipoff.

š¼ Dynamic Duo Strikes Again. For the second time this indoor season, UTSA track and field has swept the womenās weekly AAC awards, with the same student-athletes earning the awards. Shadae Findley has been named AAC Track Athlete of the Week, while Ida Breigan has been named AAC Field Athlete of the Week for their performances over the weekend at the Charlie Thomas Invitational in College Station.
Findley made school history for the second time this season, raising the bar on her own school record and first-place standing in the AAC with a 53.29 in the womenās 400m at the Charlie Thomas Invitational, cutting .53 seconds off her previous best. Breigan delivered the gold medal on Saturday, tying her season-best leap of 6.50m (21-4) to reiterate her lead in the AAC standings and remain at 10th nationally. This is Breiganās second award of the season and her fourth career AAC Indoor weekly award.
