Good morning, Roadrunners Fam. The UTSA women's basketball team led wire-to-wire across a 71-40 victory over Towson at Juan Abreu Coliseum as a part of the Puerto Rico Clasico—the Roadrunners’ sixth dub in a row. The fifth came via a 62-53 routing of UNC Greensboro to open the Puerto Rico Clasico on Thursday.

They took down the Tigers as redshirt junior Jordyn Jenkins worked 18 points. Graduate student Nina De Leon Negron posted 14 with eight assists and five rebounds, and junior Cheyenne Rowe scored 10.

The last time the ‘Runners strung together five straight came at the tail end of the 2022-23 campaign when the squad caught fire entering the CUSA Tournament.

🔼 Down, But Never Out. For the second time in as many games, the UTSA men’s basketball team (3-3) finished the job when the chips were down, overcoming a late Houston Christian (2-6) lead to pull away for the 78-71 win on Saturday at the Convo. Coming on strong when the Roadrunners needed it most, Primo Spears and Raekwon Horton combined for 50 points in the streak-building victory.

UTSA now travels to St. Mary’s (CA) for a Dec. 3 date. The team returns briefly to San Antonio before taking on 19th-ranked Arkansas in Fayetteville on Dec. 7.

🔼 Let’s Bowl. Syrus Dumas had a career-high 12 tackles, and Brandon High Jr. rushed for a pair of touchdowns, but No. 22 Army thwarted a late UTSA rally for a 29-24 decision in American Athletic Conference action on a chilly Saturday at Michie Stadium. The Roadrunners fell to 6-6 overall and ended their second season in The American with a 4-4 league mark.

The Roadrunners are bowl eligible for the fifth consecutive season and will find out their postseason destination on or before Dec. 8.
