Good Morning, Roadrunners Fam. UTSA soccer made its inaugural appearance in the American Conference Championships, and they did it with a bang, beating fourth-seeded UAB. The Roadrunners got goals from Michelle Polo and Aaliyaiah Durden to secure the 2-1 win.

The Roadrunners will be back at it in the American Conference semifinal tomorrow at 6 p.m. against top-seeded Memphis.

🔼 Tip Off. The UTSA men’s basketball team will open its 2025-26 season on Wednesday when it plays host to the College of Biblical Studies on Wednesday at the Convocation Center. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+. The 2025-26 Roadrunners are heading into the second season under head coach Austin Claunch. UTSA will put a fresh look on the floor on Wednesday, with this year’s squad featuring 11 new players. The 2024-25 Roadrunners finished 12-19 in Claunch’s debut UTSA season after needing to replace 99 percent of returning minutes with 15 new players. Purchase tickets!

🔼 Next Up. Fresh off a 48-26 home victory over Tulane, UTSA will head to Tampa to take on South Florida on Thursday, Nov. 6. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT at Raymond James Stadium in what will be the Roadrunners’ second straight ESPN Thursday night broadcast. UTSA won the only previous meeting between the two teams on the gridiron, racing past the Bulls, 49-21, on Nov. 17, 2023, at the Alamodome. The Roadrunners evened their records at 4-4 overall and 2-2 in the American Conference with the 22-point decision that handed the Green Wave their first league loss. The Bulls, who are receiving votes in both national polls, were off last week and enter Thursday’s contest at 6-2 overall and 3-1 in the American.

🔼 Offensive Explosion. Owen McCown earned the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award National Player of the Week! McCown, who also earned American Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors, broke two school records as the Roadrunners beat the Green Wave. McCown completed his first 16 passes before finishing with a program-best .939 completion percentage, 370 passing yards, and four touchdowns.

🔼 Congratulations! Coach Traylor is your American Conference Coach of the Week after he secured his 50th career win as a Roadrunner last week in UTSA’s win over Tulane.
