🔼 Homecoming Under The Lights. ESPNU has picked up UTSA’s Homecoming date with North Texas on Nov. 14, an 8 p.m. kickoff at the Alamodome between two teams sitting tied atop the American Conference at 4-0. The Roadrunners roll in at 7-1 on a five-game winning streak, receiving votes in both major polls and already bowl eligible for the seventh straight year. The first 10,000 fans through the gates grab an exclusive homecoming jersey courtesy of Firstmark Credit Union, but Florida Atlantic comes first on Thursday night.

🔼 The Multi-Event Machine. Ryanne DuPree goes into the UTSA Athletics Hall of Fame on Nov. 13, capping a 2004-07 career that produced four All-America certificates and nine conference gold medals across the hurdles, heptathlon, pentathlon, long jump, and relay. She finished fourth in the pentathlon at the 2006 NCAA Indoor Championship and landed three top-eight heptathlon finishes nationally, best of them a sixth-place showing in 2007. DuPree then qualified for the 2008 Olympic Trials in Eugene, placing tenth.

🔼 On Point. Michael Petro is one of 65 nominees for the Burlsworth Trophy, the award honoring college football’s best former walk-ons. Petro has hit 12 of 15 field goals this season and remains perfect on extra points, including a 53-yarder in the win at Rice that ranks second-longest in UTSA history.

🔼 Roadrunners Crash the Power Four Party. All eight ‘Runners saw the court at Baylor’s H-E-B Invitational, and the group left with 18 wins, 14 of those in singles. Diana Khaydarshina set the tone in her first semester with the program, ripping off three straight to open play with two of them coming against Power Four opponents. Katsiaryna Dubik and Aoka Nagasawa went a perfect 3-0 together in doubles, part of a four-win weekend for Ki Kroll’s shuffled pairings.

🔼 Fresh Impact. Joel Hansson and Gabriel Jalouneix made a doubles run to the semifinals at the Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge, knocking off a BYU pair and a Tulsa duo before an SMU tandem edged them in a tiebreaker. Dmitri Goubin was the story in singles, going 3-1 with a pair of super-tiebreak escapes and a straight-set close against UIW’s Ian Uraga. Victor Rocha handled BYU’s Caden Hasler in straight sets, and Hansson got his own win over Tulsa’s Dani Szabo to cap the fall.
