🔼 Gold in Every Lane. Leonard Byrd heads into the UTSA Athletics Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 class, inducted Friday, Nov. 13, at Pedrotti’s Ranch during Homecoming Weekend. The quarter-miler out of San Antonio Marshall collected three All-America honors and eight conference titles from 1994 to 1997, sweeping four straight Southland outdoor 400-meter crowns and adding indoor titles in 1994 and 1997. He took third in the 400 at the 1996 NCAA Outdoor Championship and reached the semifinals at the U.S. Olympic Trials that same year.

🔼 Statewide Recognition. Jeff Traylor has been named Midseason All-Texas Coach of the Year by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, with four Roadrunners joining him on the publication’s midseason team. Linebacker Brandon Tucker made the first team after leading UTSA in tackles, while Jeremiah Bailey, Will Henderson III, and Deandre Marshall landed on the second team. Traylor has the Roadrunners at 7-1 and alone atop the American Conference, their best start to league play since 2023.

🔼 Dallas Bound. UTSA men’s tennis sends four players to the Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge at SMU’s Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex, running today through Sunday. Freshmen Gabriel Jalouneix and Joel Hansson make the trip alongside junior Dmitri Goubin and sophomore Victor Rocha. The format calls for two doubles matches and a singles match today and tomorrow, with one of each closing things out Sunday.

🔼 Home Court. UTSA women’s tennis is set to host the UTR College Series from Nov. 6-8! Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the much-anticipated home tourney.
