🔼 Living in the Backfield. Owen Pewee has been named American Conference Defensive Player of the Week after wrecking Tulane’s night with three sacks that cost the Green Wave 26 yards. The linebacker added three quarterback hurries and a pass breakup while the UTSA defense tied a school record with six takeaways and held Tulane to 67 rushing yards. It’s the third weekly honor of the season for the Roadrunners, who are off this week before visiting Florida Atlantic on Thursday, Nov. 5.

🔼 Thursday Night Lights, Again. UTSA’s road trip to Florida Atlantic on Thursday, Nov. 5, has been picked up by ESPN for a 6:30 p.m. CT kickoff, the Roadrunners’ second Thursday night appearance on the network this season. UTSA arrives at 7-1 on a five-game winning streak and alone atop the American Conference at 4-0 after the 42-19 win at Tulane. The Owls lead the all-time series 3-2, but the Roadrunners have taken the last two meetings since both joined the American.

🔼 Set Your Reminders. UTSA women’s basketball now has tip times and broadcast info locked in, with all 18 American Conference games streaming on ESPN+. The Roadrunners open Nov. 6 at UNLV on Mountain West Plus, head to San Juan over Thanksgiving for the Puerto Rico Clasico on pay-per-view, and close the nonconference slate at SMU on ACC Network on Dec. 20. The 2027 American Championship runs March 9-13 at the Yuengling Center in Tampa.

🔼 Four on the Big Screen. UTSA men’s basketball will appear four times on national television this season, starting with the Battle for I-35 against Texas State on Sunday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Convocation Center on ESPN2. Three ESPNU games follow in conference play, including home and road meetings with Tulane and a trip to UAB in early March. The Roadrunners open Nov. 2 at San Jose State before the home opener against VMI on Nov. 7, and every other home game streams on ESPN+.
