🔼 Eye On The Prize. 60 minutes. That’s all that separates former UTSA star Riq. Woolen from the Super Bowl.

In just over 48 hours, Riq Woolen and the Seattle Seahawks will take the field looking to punch their ticket to the Big Game next month in Santa Clara.

In last weekend’s NFC Divisional Round game, Woolen had two tackles for Seattle in their dominant win over the 49ers.

He is seeking to become just the second former Roadrunner to reach the Super Bowl.

🔼 Howdy, Partner. The UTSA men’s basketball team returns home on Saturday to play host to Temple at 12 p.m. in the Convocation Center.

It’s the annual Rowdy Rodeo game, presented by Pedrotti’s Ranch. There will be fun Western-themed activations and a lucky fan will win San Antonio Rodeo tickets.

🔼 All Aboard. UTSA Athletics is thrilled to welcome the Houston Astros Caravan to UT San Antonio’s main campus TODAY from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. The event will take place on the central plaza near the Rowdy statue. It is free and open to the public and student body.

A handful of Houston Astros players will be on hand signing autographs and will be accompanied by members of the UTSA baseball team. Attendees will be able to take photos with the Astros World Series trophies from 2017 and 2022. Free food will be provided for student attendees, while supplies last.

🔼 More Than A Game. The Roadrunners take great pride in being among the nation’s leaders in supporting first-generation student-athletes.

Throughout the 2025-26 school year, GoUTSA.com will spotlight the department’s first-generation student-athletes, coaches, administrators and staff.

Sabrina Wick will be a sophomore on the UTSA Softball team in 2026. She is a first-generation college student from The Colony, Texas.

🔼 Court Is In Session. The UTSA women’s tennis team got their spring season started with a W, rolling to a decisive 5-2 victory over Saint Mary’s of Texas on Thursday afternoon.

Celine Absawi, Giuliana Giardina, Aoka Nagasawa and Laia Tarazona Peyro all notched victories in doubles and singles action.

🔼 First Pitch Is Coming. Coming off the most historic season in program history, the UTSA baseball program is set to return to the diamond in just two weeks.

The Roadrunners are set to welcome South Dakota State to town on Feb. 13th for a three-game set at Roadrunner Field.

First pitch for Friday’s season opener is set for 4 p.m. CST.
