Good morning, Roadrunners Fam. UTSA senior Hunter Bott wrapped up a record-setting season with the best 54-hole total posted by a Roadrunner in the NCAA postseason, registering a 4-over-par 217 at the Austin Regional, which concluded on Wednesday.

Bott etched his name atop the school’s single-season scoring average list, as he ended the 2023-24 campaign with a 71.91 mark to eclipse the previous standard of 72.03 set by Zander Lozano in 2016-17. He closed out his UTSA career with a 73.49 scoring average, which ranks second in program annals behind Lozano (72.55). Bott also capped his UTSA career with 45 par-or-better scorecards, 19 sub-70 rounds, and nine top-10 finishes.

🔼 Owl Be Seeing You. The UTSA baseball team opened its three-game AAC series against Florida Atlantic with a statement 14-1 victory in seven innings on Thursday night at FAU Baseball Stadium. UTSA improved to a 31-21 overall record (16-9 in AAC play) while Florida Atlantic fell to a 25-26 overall record (11-14 in conference action). This also marks the Roadrunners’ second consecutive run-rule victory after defeating UIW by 13-3 in eight innings on Tuesday.

The Roadrunners and the Owls resume the series tonight, with first pitch set for 5:30 PM CST/6:30 PM EST.

🔼 Jett Setting. There have been a slew of signings lately, and on Thursday, UTSA softball coach Vann Stuedeman officially announced Jett Harrell, who inks with the squad following two years at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. 

Harrell will join the Roadrunners after a stellar career at MGCCC that saw her named to the 2022 All-Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference Athletics (MACCC) first-team and the All-NJCAA Region 23 squad as a freshman. At Lee Academy, Harrell was named all-conference across all four years and claimed MVP honors as a junior and senior.

🔼 Living Up to the ‘Runners Name. The UTSA Roadrunners have locked in 12 men's and 7 women's qualifiers to next week's NCAA Track & Field West Preliminary Round in Fayetteville, Arkansas!
