Good morning, Roadrunners Fam. UTSA women’s soccer (5-2) turned in a dominant performance on both ends to secure their second consecutive win, claiming their first 2024 road victory on a 3-0 romp over Central Arkansas (0-5) on Sunday. Freshman Addy Johnson paced the Roadrunners 3-Nil victory with a pair early in the first half, while senior Sasjah Dade wrapped up the trio of Roadrunner goals.

Now, it’s time to open American Athletic Conference play, with UTSA hosting the UAB Blazers (3-2-1) on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 7 PM CST.

Sunday sees UTSA heading out of the Central Time Zone for the first time this year for a critical league tilt at East Carolina—the current No. 4 team in The American at 3-0-3.

🔼 Driving Away With It. Under the guidance of eighth-year head coach Summer Batiste, the UTSA women’s golf team has teed off the fall season at the Badger Invitational, which runs through tomorrow and is hosted by Wisconsin at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison.

UTSA will compete against Augusta, Delaware, FIU, Iowa, Nebraska, Rutgers, Sam Houston, St. Thomas, South Dakota State, South Florida, Wisconsin, and Yale.

UTSA finished fourth at last year’s Badger Invitational behind individual medalist Camryn Carreon, who carded a 9-under 207 (68-69-70), and a 10th-place tie from Williams (73-74-71—218).

🔼 Up Next. UTSA dropped a 49-10 decision to Texas State in the I-35 Showdown on Saturday afternoon at UFCU Stadium.

The Roadrunners fell to 1-1 on the season with their first setback in the six-game series with the Bobcats.

UTSA will travel to Austin to face No. 3 Texas (2-0) on Saturday, Sept. 14. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m., and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN
